Blackbeard was a pirate in the early 18th century. Blackbeard was best known for his unruly black beard, which he wore in braids and lit with slow burning matches to scare his enemies. He also had 6 feet of rope tied around his waist so that when he pulled on the rope, everyone knew they were in for it. He is often considered one of America’s most notorious pirates

Francois l’Ollonais was a French pirate who operated in the Caribbean. He was known for his extreme cruelty, often torturing and murdering his victims.

Morgan was a Welsh pirate who operated in the Caribbean. He was successful in raiding Spanish settlements, and eventually became the lieutenant governor of Jamaica.

– Ching Shih

Ching Shih was a Chinese pirate who terrorized the seas in the early 19th century. She was one of the most successful pirates in history, commanding over 200 ships and 30,000 men.
